This little announcement seems to have gone unnoticed in all the other happenings yesterday. The first of the space shuttles has been officially retired.
As opposed to ‘unofficialy, forcibly, and very suddenly’ retired.

Hm. The Shuttle era can’t come to an end too soon in my opinion. Faster, better, cheaper… choose none of the three.
