Still here. Lost power several times, but it keeps coming back. Can hear the wind sometimes, despite heavy wood on the windows.

Update: Eyewall estimated to get here between 3:30 to 4 a.m.
They’ve said the Kemah boardwalk area is completely underwater. Not that it was ever much above water, but that’s going to be a mess for sure. I wonder how the big rides and buildings are going to hold up.
What I saw of the pictures indicates that the buildings themselves are standing, but they’re gutted. The boards from the boardwalk were piled up like so much kindling. There was still 3-6 feet of water this morning, maybe more. Since I’ve never actually gone there, and didn’t see anything to give me a certain frame of reference, I’m not sure.
